History, Mission, Vision
Loterija Slovenije is a leading organiser of classic games of chance in the Republic of Slovenia with a very long tradition. We have been organising games independently since 1972, and acquired the status of a public limited company in 1998.
Our mission is, in meeting the basic human need for playing games, to fulfil the expectations and needs of players, owners, the state, and our employees. Through the payment of concession fees to two foundations (Foundation for Financing Organisations for the Disabled and Humanitarian Organisations, and the Foundation for Financing Sports Organisations), our company provides for the stable financing of organisations for the disabled, humanitarian and sports organisations.
As stated in our vision, we shall continue to be the best in perceiving the desires of players and translating them into games of chance while observing the rules of socially responsible gaming.
Fulfilment of Social Responsibility
At Loterija Slovenije, we are aware of the strategic advantages of a socially responsible approach to business operations. Social responsibility is therefore interwoven into all levels of our company's management, business processes, and development of business ethics.
Commitment to the socially responsible organisation of games of chance (SROGC) is a key pillar of the corporate social responsibility of Loterija Slovenije, which encompasses responsibility to all participants and is the fundamental guide of all employees in the Company.
In 2009, Loterija Slovenija acquired the Responsible Gaming Certification issued by an independent panel of the World Lottery Association (WLA).
The games of Loterija Slovenija are sold at 1,181 sales outlets: our complete sales programme is sold at 845 sales outlets (specialised sales outlets, Petrol service stations, and units of the Slovenian Postal Company), and part of our sales programme (instant tickets) is sold at 336 sales outlets (3Dva tobacco shops and units of the Slovenian Postal Company).
Each sales outlet offering a complete range of our games covers on average 2,400 inhabitants. At present, our sales outlets can be found at 340 locations across Slovenia.
